I rarely get to the cinema as much as I like.
I absolutely adore watching films as (20th Century Fox) intended – in cinemascope. Or just at the cinema. I commute to work in Edinburgh – Where I am spoiled for choice when it comes to watching films I like, in comfy and sometimes kooky surroundings. Two of my favourites are:
However – as I said earlier – I commute. So by the time I get home to the Borders and get my dogs out for a walk. The last thing I want to do is get to the cinema. However I DO make time to do this – at nights, at weekends and usually with my partner or with pals.
A sequel?
I was going to go see a film after work tonight and checked the listings – I was pretty shocked to see that they made a sequel to Paul Blart: Mall Cop.
The fact that there is a sequel means that:
- someone somewhere was excited about this prospect
- a board were convinced to finance this
- it is actually getting a national release
Ach well. It made someone a lot of money.
I want to see ‘Spring
I saw the original (and wondered how the f*ck that got made) so this baffles me – more because I have wanted to see this film ‘Spring’ for ages – it was shown at film festivals in 2014 and got great reviews. It has a general release this week (the same week as Paul Blart’s mall cop). But I can’t find anywhere showing yet (I have only done a baby search – not gone balls out – I will find somewhere showing it – just mentioned for dramatic effect).
Have a squizz at the trailer:
Look out for it and go see it if you can. Boycott Blart.
